About this speaker
A proud member of an Edinburgh family with its roots in manual labour, Paul has some thirty years’ experience helping organisations and their leadership teams solve complex business problems, achieve their transformation goals and deliver tangible outcomes.
With a background in Management Consultancy, Corporate Finance and Film Production, Paul is an investor and board member to a number of fast moving and disruptive businesses including two based in Scotland, MBN Solutions, a Glasgow based Data Science and Technology talent consultancy and BTP, an Edinburgh based global blockchain business leading the way in Smart Contracts and enterprise adoption of Blockchain.
In addition to these, Paul serves on the board of several other early stage and challenger businesses. He works closely with founders leveraging his experience as a business mentor with the Virgin Startup Program and as a founder member of the IdeaGist Blockchain Incubator.
Paul is a Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts, the Chartered Institute of Managers and the Institute of Leadership & Management. Paul is also an award-winning cinematographer, Licensed Event Group Athletics Coach, Ironman Coach and Guide Runner with England Athletics and still competes in ultra-distance events when not trying to keep up with his much faster children!
