You know the epitaph, “you can only join the dots looking back”? That’s true for me. I’ve always dived into new and exciting roles, shaped a new normal, created some impactful chaos, and just enough procedure to help the idea scale and flourish. Working in higher education; volunteering at a Samaritans-like charity; cultivating engagement through grassroots sports, and nurturing communities of privacy-conscious parents; I’ve learned to lean-in to the unknown, and trust myself to build and shape a diverse team. All of this came together in HeySummit where I joined the early team leading in building an early adopter community, defining, creating, and selling new-to-market products and services for the fast-changing events industry. When I’m not stirring up events with HeySummit, I can be found on family Zoom calls, climbing in the Pentlands, or planning my route to be the first woman on Mars (plans in progress).
