Round The World Yachtsman Julie Ashworth is founder and CEO of BroadReach Ltd , an International Leadership Consultancy operating with over 60% of its clients world wide.

With strong roots in Retail it’s clients now span multiple industries with a commonality of multiple channels to markets or operations in multiple geographies

Her corporate career included Tesco, holding a number of Retail Directorships including Liberty of London and The Spirit Group. Internationally she was Executive Retail Partner for IBM covering EMEA

Julie is a Board Advisor , Ambassador and presenter at Women On Boards WOB where she works with FTSE 100 and 350 groups to pragmatically and actively develop Inclusion and Diversity in the Board room

She was until recently Executive Chair of Clear Returns an ‘established’ predictive tech start up based in Glasgow whose technology predicted what would be returned when you purchase online. She remains an active investor and advisor to a number of start ups

Alongside this she is Non Executive Chair at the Institute of Directors , Edinburgh and a member of the IOD Scotland Advisory committee. She sits on the Court of the Royal Company of Merchants of Edinburgh where she also Chairs the Charities and Strategy Committees. She is a Governor of George Watson’s College and sits on the both the Governance and Education Committees

Julie is on the Advisory Board of Founders 4 Schools Edinburgh which uses Ai technology to match business and educators giving young people access to entrepreneurs and established businesses.
