Barbara leads on developing and managing delivery of projects (or challenges) for CivTech, the Scottish Government’s flagship innovation programme.
Barbara works closely with both the Public Sector and the Private Sector (including start ups and SMEs) leading a team to deliver each stage of the CivTech programme; from defining CivTech projects; leading procurements; negotiating managing contracts; to wider programme management and strategy development.
Barbara has delivered a wide range of CivTech Challenges covering health, the environment, housing, economic development and much more and plays a key role in the management and strategic direction of the programme.
She’s passionate about the wider impacts CivTech can make and has developed citizen/user led approach to innovation.
